Restoring a commercial building

Restoring a commercial building

Building

At the northern edge of the City of Naples along the urban section of the SS 87, on the border with Casavatore Casoria, a building in a state of semi-ruin has been upgraded and converted for commercial use. The project promotes a strong redevelopment of the building complex and the context in which it occurs, with the intention to include in the current "urban fringe" an architectural quality that pulls the attention of users. The building, along the edge of the roads, despite their small size, through a clever use of materials and construction technologies, looks like a "strong" signal, characterized and discontinuous compared to the building and urban plan, can catalyse and focus the observer. The architectural hides a flexible and technologically advanced structure. The layout base, which involves the construction of four commercial units, can be easily modified to make room for units of greater extension, and can give rise to the allocation of a medium structure of sale too. The thermal inertia of the building, the realization of solar thermal panels and the realization of the photovoltaic system, divided into four modules, with a power of more than 50 kW / h, are able to feed and make the building self-sufficient with respect to the question energy, saving on energy bills and on running costs of the business units.
